The Mission Creek community is nestled in a place marked with great change, with luxury apartments on the rise and incessant roar of the SF Giants can remind the once isolated neighborhood that the tides are changing. I spoke to long-time resident Jeremy Saxon and his father Bob Isaacson and explored life on the water. After spending a few days in their houseboats, I realized how peaceful it is to be rocked by this unusual SF lifestyle. Saxon and Isaacson taught me that their tight-knit community has endured a lot over the years but the increasing quality of the water and the urban growth of the surrounding neighborhood has given them something to look forward to. It turns out, embracing all of the change in Mission Bay is all but natural for a community with houses that literally rises each day with the changing tide.
