Jackie Dives Fights Abortion Stigma With Emotional Portraits

A few weeks ago, Jackie launched the Abortion Series project, where she’ll be profiling a variety of women who have had abortions, and sharing their experiences. The project was inspired by repressive laws against women's rights. “I think this series is both saying to other women ‘We are here. We understand. We support you.’ Jackie said. “And it’s also providing a glimpse into the experience of having an abortion, for those who haven't ever had one, who might need to understand more seriously the impact it has on a woman.” So far, Jackie has only photographed two women, but both portraits are intimate and personal, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come of the project. Miley Cyrus Launches #InstaPride Campaign

When Miley Cyrus decides to do something, she does it big. After all, homegirl does have a tendency to come in like a wrecking ball, twerk Robin Thicke straight into a divorce and public vilification, and lick sledgehammers. So to hear she’s using her Instagram profile, which has a following of more than 22 million, as a platform to launch #InstaPride, a transgender activism campaign on Instagram, well, all I have to say is, can’t stop, don’t stop. #InstaPride is a two week project that will feature pictures and stories from transgender and gender expansive persons from across the world, along with the allies who support them. Sense8 Fails to Live up to Other Netflix Original Series

 Netflix just launched its new original series, Sense8, but a third of the way into the season, I’m far from impressed. The show follows the stories of eight different characters in eight different cities around the world, all of whom are connected to each other through mysterious hallucinations and random space and time travel.
