DJI has announced its newest drone to the market – DJI Spark. The Spark is a mini drone that includes all the typical DJI technology, allowing you to capture any moment at any time! Smaller than its older brother the Mavic Pro, the Spark can fit in the palm of your hand, but don’t be fooled, it still features cutting edge drone technology. Check out the new features below:

DJI has made going hands-free a priority. With FaceAware technology integrated with Quick Launch, the Spark can take off from your hand by recognizing your face and hover in place within seconds of powering on! In addition, via Gesture control, you can have the Spark take stunning aerial images just by using gestures with your hands, all without the worry of a remote controller or mobile device.

The new Intelligent Flight Mode QuickShot will allow you to take cinematic level footage all autonomously. Also, PalmControl will make the Spark follow your hand movements or even takeoff/land on your hand. Check out the new modes below:

Rocket – Ascend with the camera facing downward

Dronie – Fly backward and upward, with the camera locked on your subject

Circle – Circle around a target

Helix – Fly upward, spiraling around your subject

The camera on the Spark boast a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor allowing video at 1080p and stills at 12MP. With a 2-axis mechanical gimbal, UltraSmooth technology reduces shake and rolling shutter effect, keeping your shots detailed and stable. With new camera modes like Pano and ShallowFocus, the Spark will shoot horizontal or vertical panoramas automatically while using its 3D vision technology to create photos with a shallow depth of field, respectively.

Just like the Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro, the Spark still boasts FlightAutonomy with a 3D sensing system, dual-band GPS, vision positioning system (VPS), and 24 powerful computing cores. You can now have worry-free flight in the palm of your hands!
