BITE Silicon Valley is one of the most important food events of the year.

Organized by Octagon Culinary, the conference brings together an all-star roster of chefs and restaurateurs, including José Andrés as “Chef Chair”, Tom Colicchio, Michael Chiarello, Roy Choi and Michael Voltaggio.

Individuals can expect elaborate food demonstrations, as well as smart cooking appliance displays for modern professionals and enthusiasts. The event will also address global sustainability issues through informative panel discussions.

Representatives from large organizations supporting international food programs such as Google, Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition and Monsanto will be present to provide audiences with deep insights on controversial food-related topics.

The latest in food technology will also be on display, including the Lynx Smart Grill, 3D Systems ChefJet Pro printer, WiFi Nomiku, PicoBrew Zymatic, and more.

Smart Food Technology Demos

Technology is transforming the food industry. It is changing the way chefs handle ingredients and is vital to kitchen creativity. In line with the event’s theme, BITE Silicon Valley will feature a range of smart kitchen devices during the conference.

The Lynx Smart Grill is a revolutionary cooking appliance equipped with sensors to guide individuals along the cooking process. Using digital cues, the device communicates with the cook in real-time. The SmartGrill supports app controls for Android and iOS platforms.

First demoed in CES 2015, the ChefJet 3D Printer will also be displayed during the event. Instead of filaments, the device uses sugar to dish out intricate desserts. The 3D printer is ideal for cake decorations and bite-size treats. At the moment, this is the only professional-grade machine that can handle the level of detailing required in today’s restaurants.

The WiFi Nomiku is a modern sous vide immersion circulator with enhanced connectivity features. Coupled with the Tender app, users can set recipes and share their experience with other cooks in the community. The minimal, straightforward panel is perfect for fast-paced kitchens.

Event Details and Tickets

BITE Silicon Valley will take place in Levi’s Stadium at the heart of Santa Clara, CA on June 5-7. Individuals planning on attending the conference can buy tickets directly from the BITE SV website.

Tickets are also available for specific days or gatherings for those who are not able to attend the entire event. A festival pass that is good for the whole weekend costs $499, while fixed tickets range between $99-$299.
