We are curious about their hook-ups and break-ups. We want to peek into their palatial mansions. We stalk them on Twitter and Instagram and gobble up their holiday pics. Now that fitness trackers are all the rage, we want to know which brands and what makes our favorite celebrities wear.

Here are 8 fitness trackers sported by a cross-section of celebrities:

1. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA AND FITBIT SURGE

Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama is known as a fitness freak and a tech-savvy person. So it is not surprising that he would be seen sporting the FitBit Surge, which is hands-down one of the best all-day fitness trackers that is around. This feature-rich device monitors heart rate continuously, has a GPS tracker, and records biometric data for a wide range of activities like hiking, weight-lifting, and Yoga. It is an ideal runner’s watch because it can record the speed of the runner and the distance traveled. President Obama is known to run three miles every day.

The FitBit Surge effortlessly syncs with a smart mobile device. But President Obama can only use the Blackberry because of security issues, and unfortunately, the FitBit Surge is not compatible with this phone.

2. Actor Robert Pattinson and FitBit Charge

RobertPattison

Robert Pattinson sported a mean ripped look in his Twilight ventures. He continues to maintain his lean but muscular physique, and it is evident he takes his workouts and diet plans seriously. He has been seen wearing the FitBit Charge.

FitBit products are known to track steps more accurately than the devices by most other brands. The FitBit Charge is no different. It records steps taken, distance covered, elevation gained, and calories burned. It can record data for jogging and running. However, without a heart-rate monitor, it doesn’t stand up to makes from other brands. But the Twilight star isn’t complaining.

3. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Jawbone UP

Gwenyth

Gwyneth Paltrow is an acclaimed actress, a busy mom, and the curator of the popular lifestyle publication GOOP. Paltrow is known as a fitness freak, and she has been seen wearing the Jawbone UP24 during her runs and even when she is running errands.

As a stylish pedometer, the Jawbone UP24 counts your steps and the number of hours you sleep lightly and deeply. Simple in form and function, the device is without a heart rate monitor, but it is celebrated for just that reason–its ease and straightforwardness.

4. Tennis Star Serena Williams and Nike + FuelBand

Serena

The Nike+ Fuelband track steps and calories burned. Seen on Serena Williams, this gadget also monitors sleep and allows for daily goals.

As an elite sportswoman, it’s a bit surprising that she doesn’t wear a more feature-rich device. However, the display shows progress in real time, so she can consistently stay aware of her levels.

5. Actor Ryan Reynolds and FitBit Flex

Ryan

Hunky actor Ryan Reynolds is known for the chiseled superheroes he portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Green Lantern. Now that he has a growing family (He has a daughter with wife Blake Lively) and a movie career to concentrate on, he needs all the strength and energy he can muster. And it’s the FitBit Flex he relies on to keep track of his workouts.

Like all FitBit devices, the Flex also delivers impressively accurate biometric data. The Flex records the number of steps and the number of hours you sleep, both light and deep sleep. It also wirelessly syncs with a smartphone to keep the data updated. Although not as sophisticated as some of its brothers—the Surge and the Charge HR—the Flex is certainly a useful tool.

6. Actress Christina Applegate and Tory Burch for FitBit Flex

Christina

Easy chic and making a personal style statement. That’s what comes to your mind when you think of Christina Applegate’s fashion sense…so it makes sense that she opted for the Tory Burch for FitBit Flex. Tory Burch collaborated with FitBit to launch a range of stylish and sleek accessories for the Flex range of fitness trackers.

Christina Applegate is a busy mom and actress. She doesn’t have time to change accessories as she flits between gym, shoots, and parties. The Tory Burch for FitBit Flex transforms her otherwise staid Flex workout gear to a fashionable accessory that never looks out of place, even on the red carpet.

7. Tennis Star Andy Murray and Polar FT60

Andy

Tennis player Andy Murray has to be in peak physical form to survive at the highest competitive level. He is known as a dedicated exerciser, working out for 5 to 6 hours every day, and turns to mean machine Polar FT60 fitness smartwatch as his trainer.

The Polar FT60 is one of the best and most accurate heart rate monitoring watches around and is ideal for tracking data during cardio workouts. It comes bundled with a heart rate monitor that you strap around your chest. The device also measures your aerobic fitness at rest, the calories burned along with the percentage of fat, and can be used underwater. You can set fitness goals and have the Polar FT60 create customized weekly workout plans that it will monitor. As a tennis player, cardio workouts probably feature heavily in Andy Murray’s workout schedule; it is not a surprise that he has chosen the Polar FT60 as his fitness aide.

8. Entrepreneur Richard Branson and Garmin Vivofit

Richard

Entrepreneur and founder of the Virgin Group, Richard Branson was seen wearing a Garmin Vivofit. The Vivofit is one of the cheapest fitness trackers in the market and is slightly more than a pedometer that can also track sleep and count calories.

As the founder of a global business empire, Branson’s choice might raise eyebrows—you probably expect him to sport a watch from the Garmin Forerunner series or a FitBit Surge. But tinker with the Vivofit, and you will realize it provides great value for the money, which also happens to be Branson’s business principle.

The Garmin Vivofit is water-resistant and has an impressive battery life, far greater than even its higher-priced and more feature-rich competitors. It has an inactivity alert and automatically sets fitness goals for you based on your workout performances. The Garmin Vivofit is an easy-to-use, low-maintenance fitness tracker that suits someone who just wants to stay active.
