Oh…what to do for Mother’s Day. Honestly, even with the best mother’s day activities out there, the average mom just wants a break. Working mothers “spend around 30 hours a week doing things for their families aside from their career, which means women are burned out,” says Bonnie Eaker Weill, Ph.D. And for you stay-at-home moms, especially those of you new to the matriarchal tribe, your burn out rate is pretty high since your little bosses literally “dump” on you every day.

The lesson here: just let mom unwind this Mother’s Day. In the meantime – here are some trendy tech gifts that mom can use to help keep her hectic work and/or home schedules running smoothly — all while looking insanely cool.

When renowned fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff and Case-Mate (the leader in stylized mobile accessories) teamed up to create the Lightning Cable Bracelet – a unique high-end tech accessory was born. At $58, this sleek genuine leather bracelet with gold studs holds a secret; it’s a portable lightning cable. The chic clasp does a great job of hiding the connectors that sync and charge compatible iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices. Busy moms will love this “no wires” statement piece; just wrap some tech glam around your wrist and go!

Hands-down (or wrists-down), a great Mother’s Day gift this year is the new Apple Watch. However, if you’ve already purchased one – don’t give it to mom yet. The reason? You may want to create a personalized Apple Watch band just for her. Casetify, the company that allows users to customize cases for their mobile devices, is now targeting the Apple Watch market.

For around $70, wearers make their own Apple Watch strap using social media photos or by unique designs from creatives all over the world. All bands are interchangeable and proceeds from these creations support artists around the globe by providing sustainable jobs. Not bad for something the circumference of a wrist. Just remember: “shoot it, place it, band it.”

What started out as a “phone-charging bag” campaign on Kickstarter in 2012 (by inventor Liz Salcedo) quickly found the financial backing to become the world’s first phone charging purse – the Everpurse. Yes, Mama’s got a brand new bag and it’s a smart one too.

Mom can just drop her phone inside the charging pocket where it attaches to a phone dock and immediately charges for up to 48 hours, sometimes longer depending on the phone.

When the purse needs recharging, simple place it on the Everpurse’s charging mat to wirelessly charge the clutch over night. The next day, mom is good to go! Price tag: around $300. Multiple phone types supported.
